Who
I use digital and analogue media and a variety of image and sound editing processes to simulate alternative realities. My work as a psychologist has meant encountering up close the contradictions at the heart of our society: that even the most 'successful' people are commonly tortured; that the most common pains are hidden in shameful privacy; that we collectively build a system that nobody (or at least, few people) actually wants. I practice art in search of enlivening ways to voice these truths - and the possibilities for their remedy - in public spaces. Similarly, my art practice is fundamentally a community practice: my work is developed in conversation with and offered to a local community.
